Timorous Beastie Meet The Beast Cask Strength is a blended malt dedicated to Robert Burns and his poem "To a Mouse", which is addressed to a small field mouse but reflects on people's relationship with the natural world. It is a limited edition of 3,600 bottles.
The blend is made only from Highland single malts, among them Dalmore, Glen Garioch and Glengoyne. It was aged in ex-bourbon casks and bottled without any reduction in strength.
The nose is sweet and complex, with vanilla, butter and oak. The palate is creamy, with honey, pear, aniseed, caramel and milk chocolate, leading to a long, spicy finish with a hint of chocolate.
