Tincup 10 Year Old is a high-rye American whiskey bottled at 42% ABV (84 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It was aged for a minimum of ten years in white American oak, then cut to proof with Rocky Mountain water and bottled in Denver, Colorado.
The brand was founded by Jess Graber, who is also behind Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey, and takes its name from the old mining town of Tin Cup. The 10 Year Old was launched in 2017 as the aged expression in the range.
It is dark amber in the glass, with cinnamon, pine, honey and freshly cut grass on the nose. The palate offers sweet pepper, leather and raisins, and the finish is caramel and biscuits.
