Tobermory 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Mull, bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour, so its golden amber tone comes from the casks.
It matures in ex-bourbon casks with a short finish in virgin oak. This is the unpeated side of the distillery, with fruit and spice meeting a restrained saltiness.
The nose shows orange and other citrus fruit, fresh floral notes, firm oak, vanilla and spice. On the palate, sweet orange and citrus join creamy caramel and rich vanilla, with hints of cinnamon and clove. Vanilla and spice linger in the long finish.
