This is a 12 year old single malt from Tobermory, the distillery on the Isle of Mull that was founded in 1798. It was released in early 2019 to mark the distillery returning to production after a two year break.
The whisky matured for twelve years in American oak casks and was bottled at 46.3% ABV.
The nose has pear, peach and apple with a dusting of brown sugar, alongside Greek yogurt, barley and a hint of cinnamon pastries. The palate is rounded and a little oily, with stone fruit sweetness. The finish brings orange peel, soft sawdust, toffee and dates.
