This is a 21 year old single malt from Tobermory, the only distillery on the Isle of Mull, founded in 1798. After a long first maturation in refill casks, the whisky was moved in 2015 into Oloroso sherry casks, which gave it a deep amber colour. It is bottled at 46.3% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose combines marzipan, roasted hazelnuts and dark syrup with a touch of furniture wax. The palate is full and balanced, with cherry wood, brown sugar and caramelised pineapple. The finish is light and carries a long, gentle sweetness.
