This is a 25 year old Tobermory single malt Scotch, finished in Oloroso casks and bottled at 48.1% in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose it combines freshly baked bread, candied orange peel and caramel with gentle cinnamon and a layer of cocoa. The palate opens with blackcurrant jam, peaches and lemon peel, which fade to reveal honeyed almonds and coconut, along with a soft floral note and a touch of mint.
The finish is lingering and spiced, with poached pears and nutmeg.
