This is an official Tobermory release, the fourth expression in the Hebridean Series. It is a 26 year old single malt from the Isle of Mull, bottled at 49.2% in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 4,650 bottles.
After its long maturation the whisky was finished in Oloroso casks.
The nose opens with brown sugar, followed by fresh strawberries, vanilla fudge, candied ginger and raisins. The palate balances spice and sweetness: vanilla, toffee, walnuts and fresh cinnamon buns, with a little oak and toasted malt. The finish is long, with wood and chocolate-covered hazelnuts.
