Togouchi 9 Years (70cl)

Togouchi 9 Years is a blended whisky from Chugoku Jozo, blended in Japan from Scotch single malts and Canadian grain whisky. It is aged for nine years in ex-sherry oak casks. The maturation takes place in a disused railway tunnel in the town of Togouchi, where temperature and humidity stay steady through the year. The nose is rich and subtle, with fruit, citrus, sweet vanilla and chocolate, and light touches of peat. The palate is soft, balanced and harmonious, with good length. The finish turns slightly earthy, with spicy, smoky peat.
