Tomatin 12 Year Old is the Amarone Edition of the Italian Collection, a single malt Scotch whisky distilled on 6th December 2010 and sold in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit was laid down in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks for ten years. On 10th February 2021 it was moved into Amarone wine casks for a further two years.
Poached pears and rhubarb and custard sweets lead the aroma. The palate brings strawberry jam, Turkish delight and light butter pastry, and the finish is rich with cinnamon-spiced red apple.
