Tomatin 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from Scotland, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, refill American oak casks and Spanish sherry butts, and the twelve-year-old is then married in Spanish sherry butts alone before bottling.
The nose is fresh and airy, with rich malt, fruit and a hint of peat. On the palate come apples, pears and malt, with a gentle nuttiness from the sherry wood and a smooth, silky texture. The finish is long, with an oily richness.
