Tomatin – 12 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Tomatin (Highland). Aged 12 years, bottled at 46% ABV, 70cl. Finished in oloroso Sherry Cask Finish. Tomatin Distillery was established in 1897 in the Monadhliath Mountains south of Inverness, in the Scottish Highlands. Sitting at 315 metres above sea level, it is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland and draws its water from the Allt-na-Frith burn running through the mountains. This expression forms part of the Cuatro Series, a quartet of releases each exploring a different cask type. Distilled on 15 January 2002, moved to sherry cask on 29 June 2011, and bottled on 20 August 2014, this bottling was matured for over twelve years before receiving an Oloroso sherry cask finish. Bottled at 46% ABV and limited to only 1,500 bottles.
