This is a 12 year old Tomatin single malt from the French Collection, finished in a Sauternes cask and bottled at 46%.
It was distilled in September 2008, moved into a Sauternes cask in July 2017 and bottled in March 2021.
The tasting notes describe peach and apricot on the nose, softened by rich Manuka honey. The honey carries on to the palate alongside coconut and ginger. The finish is sweet and fresh with a syrupy mouthfeel, which points to the Sauternes wine that once filled the cask.
