This Tomatin was distilled in 1988 in the Scottish Highlands and bottled in 2021 by the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail, as part of its Upper Range. It is a 31 year old single malt in a 70cl bottle, and the colour runs from copper to honey.
The nose shows ripe fruit, vanilla, caramel and a light note of smoked wood. On the palate there is candied fruit and malt with bitter chocolate and tobacco. The finish is long, with a lingering spicy warmth.
