This is a 36 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, matured in Oloroso sherry butts and traditional ex-bourbon oak casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration and at natural colour, and comes in a hand-crafted oak box with a numbered certificate. Each batch is 1,200 numbered bottles. It won Double Gold and Best in Show at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2023.
The nose is fruity and floral, with brandied pear, mango chutney, peach, apricot and winter spices. The palate is waxy, with forest fruit preserves, heather honey and roasted chestnuts. The finish is long, ending in winter spice.
