Tomatin – 45 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This is a 45 year old single malt from Tomatin, matured for all of those years in a Spanish Oloroso sherry cask at the distillery. It was bottled in its most natural form, and just 250 bottles were filled. It comes in a crystal decanter with a gold collar and stopper, inside a wooden box with a metal certificate. The nose is tropical, followed by summer berries, cherry and freshly roasted coffee beans. The palate brings dried tropical fruits, tangy Sanguinello blood orange, salted caramel chocolate and a hint of herbal bitters, with a satin texture. The Oloroso influence shows right at the end.
