This is an 18 year old Tomatin from Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range, drawn from a single cask, number 3898. It was distilled in 2006, matured in a refill bourbon barrel and bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
The nose is soft orchard fruit, honey and creamy malt. The palate has a gentle sweetness with mature depth, balanced oak and a rounded maltiness. The finish is long and warming, with an oaky note.
