A Highland single malt from Tomatin, near Inverness, bottled at 43% ABV. Dualchas is matured in a combination of American bourbon barrels and virgin oak casks, and is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The nose opens with vanilla bean, white chocolate and cinnamon over green apple and ripe pear. On the palate there is crisp orchard fruit, honeyed malt, vanilla and a touch of ginger, with the virgin oak adding gentle warmth. The finish is clean and lightly dry, with soft wood spice, lingering vanilla and a hint of freshly turned oak.
