This is a single cask, cask strength Tomintoul from Speyside, distilled in 2004 and bottled at 13 years old.
It was matured in an ex-Oloroso sherry butt, which gives a subtly sweet, richly fruited character with warming spice running through the finish.
The nose shows sweet butterscotch with hints of nuts and praline. The palate has upfront sherry with glace cherry and stone fruit. The finish is warming sherry with a little vanilla and spice.
