Torabhaig Allt Gleann is a heavily peated Isle of Skye single malt in the distillery's Legacy Series, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle without chill filtration or added colouring. It is named after the burn that supplies the distillery's water.
The barley is peated to 77 PPM in the grain. The spirit was fermented with two yeasts and matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and refill whisky casks. Torabhaig first fired its stills in 2017.
The nose offers earthy peat smoke, vanilla shortbread, lemon zest, smoked shellfish and sea air. The palate brings coastal tar, citrus, salted nuts and fennel, with pepper. The finish is medium to long and sweet, with apple, kiwi and vanilla oak over lingering smoke.
