Torabhaig – Allt Gleann (75cl, 46%)

Torabhaig Allt Gleann is a heavily peated single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the second release in the distillery's Legacy Series, from summer 2021. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The distillery stands at Teangue in Sleat, in a converted 19th-century farm steading, and began distilling in January 2017. The whisky has spent more than 60 months in cask, from small batches of no more than 30 casks, about 80% first-fill ex-bourbon and 20% refill whisky casks. It is named after one of the distillery's natural spring water sources. The nose brings bonfire smoke, brine, vanilla and sea salt. On the palate come apples, pears and citrus under toffee and cinnamon, followed by a long, warming, peaty finish with grilled yellow fruits.
