Torabhaig Legacy Series 2nd Edition Allt Gleann is a single malt from Torabhaig, a distillery on the Isle of Skye owned by Mossburn Whisky Distillers & Blenders. Founded in 2013, it began distilling in 2017 and is the first distillery built on the island in 190 years.
This is the second release in the Legacy Series, bottled at 46%. Distilling is done in copper pot stills, and fermentation takes place in traditional wooden vessels.
The nose brings spiced peat, hessian, tobacco, mint, orange and chalk. On the palate come soot, barley husk, wood smoke, salt, fennel, tobacco, menthol and light peat.
