This is Allt Gleann, the second release in the Torabhaig Legacy Series from the Isle of Skye. It is a single malt Scotch bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle, and it is named after the burn that supplies the distillery's water.
It was made from small batches distilled in 2017 and 2018, using Concerto and Laureate barley peated to 77 PPM or more in the malt. It matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and refill whisky casks, and is non-chill filtered with no added colour.
Reviewers have found sea spray, hay, iodine and burnt paper on the nose, then banana tart, apple pie filling, white peach and matcha, with smoke returning on the finish.
