Torabhaig Legacy Series Chapter No. 4, Sound of Sleat, is the fourth chapter of the Skye distillery's Legacy Series, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It is named for the narrow sea channel between Skye and the Scottish mainland, and 45,000 bottles were produced. The packaging artwork is by Skye-based artist Ellis O'Connor.
The whisky is distilled from Concerto and Laureate barley peated to 78+ PPM, and matured in ex-bourbon and new charred American oak casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Orange, apricot, popcorn, seaweed and pipe tobacco lead the nose. On the palate come zesty oak spice, sweet bonfire smoke, waxy honey, sea salt and white pepper, and the finish is long and coastal.
