Torabhaig – Taigh House Style Smoke With Taste (70cl, 46%)

Taigh is a single malt from Torabhaig on the Isle of Skye, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first time the distillery has made its house style, Smoke with Taste, a permanent part of the range. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. Gentle peat smoke sits alongside sweet fruit and maritime notes, with a soft texture. The balance of sweetness and spice comes from first-fill and refill bourbon casks together with Madeira casks. The nose brings baked apple and maple syrup, flint smoke and fine spices. The palate is lightly oily, with roasted almonds, vanilla cream and sweet dried fruit, leading to a long, warm finish of cinnamon and cloves.
