First-fill Oloroso sherry barrique finish
This is a 38 year old Tormore from Speyside, distilled in 1988 and bottled by Rare Find for The Long Game, its October 2026 collection of old single casks. It comes from cask 26087, in a 70cl bottle at a natural cask strength of 54.6%, with 198 individually numbered bottles. The whisky was finished for 27 months in a first-fill Oloroso sherry barrique. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered. The nose has golden syrup, toffee, warm custard and apple peel, with a gentle earthiness and soft marshmallow. On the palate, polished oak frames crème caramel, alfalfa honey and wine gums, with dry, dusty spice developing over time. The finish is long, with grassy fruits and honeyed notes fading into fine mead.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
