A red wine from Tuscany, created in 1995 by Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi. It is a blend of Merlot and Sangiovese. Luce has an intense, almost impenetrable red colour. The nose shows ripe red fruits, chocolate and vanilla from ageing in French oak barriques. On the palate it is vigorous but balanced, with velvety tannins and elegant freshness; dark fruit, spice and a light toasted note lead to a persistent finish. It pairs with red meat roasts, game and aged cheeses.
