Trail's End 10 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon made by Hood River Distillers in collaboration with Clear Creek Distillery. It spends ten years in new charred American oak, then travels to Hood River in Oregon for a finish in new Oregon Garry oak casks. The brand air-dries that wood for at least three years first.
It is reduced with glacier-fed spring water from Mt. Hood and bottled non-chill-filtered at 52.5% in a 75cl bottle.
The nose offers vanilla and dried fruit. On the palate come cherry, baking spices, subtle citrus, macadamia nut and chocolate, with summer pine and high desert moss from the Garry oak. The finish is smooth, with lingering spice.
