Traveller Blend No. 40 is a blended whiskey of Canadian whisky and bourbon distilled at Barton Distillery in Kentucky, bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle. It contains no grain neutral spirits.
It is a collaboration between the musician Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, who settled on this blend after working through more than 50 trial blends.
The nose is sweet apple, light caramel, shortbread and vanilla, with mild rye spice. The palate is honeyed, with toasted nut, baking spice and oak. The finish is medium, with white pepper, oak and vanilla, closing dry.
