Traveller Blend No. 40 Full Proof Whiskey by Chris Stapleton (75cl, 60.5%)

Traveller Blend No. 40 Full Proof is a blended American whiskey made in collaboration with Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace. It was blended and bottled at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, using barrels from several Sazerac distilleries. It is the same Blend No. 40 as the original Traveller, the fortieth of more than fifty trial blends tasted with Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, but bottled undiluted at 60.5% ABV. Stapleton and his band chose the full-proof version after tasting two contenders. It is the first line extension since the brand's debut in January 2024. The nose offers caramelised sugar, baking spice and toasted oak. On the palate come vanilla, warm toffee, toasted nuts, dark fruit and deep oak spice, followed by a long, warming finish of spice and sweetness.
