A rhum agricole from the Clément distillery in Martinique, distilled in 1970. It is presented in a numbered bottle in a wooden case.
It is made using fresh sugar cane juice and matured in selected oak casks, giving notes of vanilla, honey and ripe tropical fruit. The nose brings burnt caramel, dark spices and a hint of tobacco; the palate is soft and enveloping, with dark chocolate, espresso and dried fruit.
Best served at room temperature, neat or with high-quality chocolate.
