Très Vieux Rhum Single Batch Chauffe Extrême from Clément is an aged agricole rum from Martinique, matured for five years in oak barrels. It is made from sugar cane grown on volcanic soil and distilled using the Chauffe Extrême method, with higher heating to intensify aroma and flavour. The nose offers tropical fruit such as mango and papaya, plus caramel and vanilla. The palate is full and rounded, with sweet spice, nutmeg and white pepper, followed by a persistent finish with tobacco and dark chocolate notes. Best served neat or in complex cocktails.
