This is a 12 year old single malt from Glen Elgin in Speyside, bottled by Tri Carragh at a cask strength of 55.5%. It was distilled in July 2011 and bottled in 2024, with 292 bottles drawn from the cask.
The whisky spent its final 15 months in a first-fill tawny port barrique. It is bottled in natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose is described as dark chocolate covered raisins, orange and dark treacle, turning towards tropical fruit, heather, lavender and orange when water is added. On the palate there is cinnamon spice, followed by juicy fruit.
