This is a 16-year-old single cask Inchgower from Speyside, bottled by Tri Carragh at cask strength, 51.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2024, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The whisky matured in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, and 221 bottles were filled.
The nose opens with plenty of vanilla, then buttercream, fresh fruit, peach, orange zest, fresh grass and toffee apple. The palate continues the vanilla alongside tropical fruit such as cantaloupe melon, with cinnamon and green cardamom. The finish carries the same flavours, a little lighter and smoother.
