This is a 15 year old single malt from Tullibardine, in a 75cl bottle. It was distilled after the distillery reopened in 2003 and matured in first-fill bourbon casks in warehouses at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Perthshire.
The nose is delicate, with dried hay, parma violets, baked apple, cloves and vanilla ice cream. On the palate, freshly baked scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream sit alongside gentle spice, and the finish is subtly nutty.
