The 228 Burgundy Finish is a Tullibardine single malt bottled at 43%. It spent the last 12 months of its maturation in red wine casks from Château de Chassagne Montrachet in Burgundy.
The casks gave the whisky a reddish tinge and fresh, rich berry aromas. It won a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
The nose is of vanilla and chocolate. The palate is full-bodied, fresh and creamy, and the finish brings plenty of dark, rich fruit.
