Two Stacks The Blender's Cut Cask Strength (65%)

The Blender's Cut is a cask strength Irish blend from Two Stacks, bottled at 65% and limited to 222 bottles, each filled and labelled by hand. Two Stacks revives the old Irish tradition of bonding, when pub owners and grocers blended and bottled their own whiskey. The company fills whiskey into its own casks, matures it and then composes individual blends. This one combines five different whiskeys, among them grain whiskey from a virgin oak cask. The nose is smoked maple and caramel before sherry notes come through. The palate is very oily, with peat, caramel, raisins and virgin oak resin. The finish is peat with bread and sweet pudding, followed by sweet grain.
