Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Madeira Cask Finish is an Irish whisky aged for ten years and then finished in casks that previously held Madeira, the fortified wine from a group of islands off the coast of Portugal.
It is bottled at 92 proof, or 46% ABV, to bring out the flavour nuances of those casks.
The nose is salty and full of red fruit. The finish is dry, with cocoa, caramel and allspice.
