Uncharted Whisky Co. Come Together 10 Year Old The Speyside Distillery (70cl, 50%)

This is a 10 year old single malt from The Speyside Distillery, bottled by Uncharted Whisky Co. at 50% in a 700ml bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. Two sister casks, a first-fill oloroso sherry cask and a bourbon hogshead, are brought together here, which gives the release its name. The distillery's unpeated, fruity character is kept, with extra toffee and complexity from the sherry maturation. The nose offers dry spice and vanilla fudge, then sweet cloves, marzipan and dark chocolate. The palate moves from dry oak and butterscotch to candied ginger, dried apricots and blossom, and the finish is mellow and sweet.
