Heart Of Gold is a 10 year old Highland blended malt from the Uncharted Whisky Company, founded by Jack Breslin and Dana de Vos. The malt spirits were blended together early and aged in ex-bourbon wood, before the founders moved the spirit into a fresh Sauternes barrique.
It was distilled in April 2013 and bottled in March 2024 at 50%, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The outturn is 363 bottles from a single barrique.
The nose opens with stone fruit, pineapple, dried apricots and lemon sherbets. The palate is candied pineapple with a buttery mouthfeel, then honey and brioche, and the finish is long and sweet, with peaches and cream.
