This is an 11-year-old Bowmore from Uncharted Whisky Company, founded by Jack Breslin and Dana de Vos, released as One Way Or Another. It was distilled on Islay in June 2015 and bottled in August 2026 at a natural cask strength of 56.7%, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
Two first fill bourbon barrels were vatted together for the release, giving 565 bottles.
Salty peat, sugary breakfast cereal and icing sugar mark the nose. The palate is bright and salty, sweet at first before drying to tingling oak and spice, with a honeyed texture. The finish fades from sugar to oak and delicate smoke, leaving a satisfying warmth.
