An 8 year old unpeated single malt from Royal Brackla, bottled by the Uncharted Whisky Company, founded by Jack Breslin and Dana de Vos. It was distilled in February 2018 and matured throughout in first fill oloroso sherry hogsheads, with no finishing casks, before bottling in August 2026.
The natural cask strength was 63.8%. It was reduced to 55% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration, giving an outturn of 797 bottles.
The nose has cinnamon, honeydew melon and tinned fruit cocktail, with aniseed, oak and vanilla. The palate is rich and spiced, with dried fruit, like Christmas cake without the sugar. The finish is dry and woody, with sultanas and raisins.
