This is a 19-year-old Speyside single malt from Auchroisk, released as Not Nineteen Forever, a collaboration between the Uncharted Whisky Company and TopWhiskies. It was matured in a PX hogshead and bottled at a cask strength of 54%, in a 70cl bottle. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, with 74 bottles produced.
The nose has raisins, dates and sultanas over honeyed malt, with treacle, orange peel, fig jam, walnuts, almonds, cinnamon and clove. The palate is full-bodied and syrupy, with dark chocolate, molasses and stewed fruit, plus baked apple, pear, nutmeg, black pepper and a hint of espresso bitterness. The finish is long, with dried fruit, cocoa and sweet spice, and oak tannins that gradually dry the palate.
