Ushers Green Stripe (175cl, 40%)

Ushers Green Stripe is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV, in a 1.75 litre bottle. It combines malt and grain whiskies and carries no age statement. The brand goes back to Andrew Usher, who from 1853 pioneered the commercial blending of malt and grain whiskies. Green Stripe has long been described by the brand as the original light Scotch. The nose is light, with heather and honey, then subtle fruit, a wisp of smoke and gentle spice. The palate starts with honeycomb and cream, followed by toffee, caramel and baked apple. The finish is medium in length and smooth, with toffee and honey.
