Vago Espadin Joel Barriga Mezcal (75cl)

Vago Espadin is a traditional Oaxacan mezcal made by mezcalero Joel Barriga from Espadin agave. The agave is roasted in earthen pits, the mash is fermented naturally, and the spirit is distilled in copper stills. The nose combines smoke and roasted agave with dried herbs, mineral notes and a little citrus peel. On the palate there is sweet agave, earthy smoke, black pepper and hints of tropical fruit. The finish is medium to long, with lingering smoke, warm spice and sweet agave.
