This is a Très Vieux cognac of around fifty years old from Vallein Tercinier, a family house working since 1850. It is a single cask, made entirely from Grande Champagne grapes and aged for half a century in French Limousin oak.
Smoke and roasted notes give way to delicate floral tones, balanced by Sichuan pepper, liquorice and candied orange. The palate is round and creamy, with flavours of English fruit cake, and the finish is long, introduced by a note of vintage port.
