Valpolicella DOC Superiore Vigne Alte - Zeni

A red wine from the hills of Valpolicella Classica, made from native grapes such as Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Bottled after ageing for at least one year, it takes its name from the elevated vineyard sites. The bouquet opens with ripe cherry, sour cherry and light spice, with a pleasant herbaceous note and bitter almond typical of the denomination. On the palate it is full-bodied, with soft but firm tannins, enveloping structure and a finish with light balsamic notes. It suits rustic dishes such as boiled meats, braises and aged cheeses.
