Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOCG - Le Poiane - Bolla

A red wine from the Valpolicella, produced by Bolla using the ripasso method, with a second fermentation on Amarone and Recioto pomace. It has an intense, deep red colour with garnet hints. The nose offers ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, with vanilla, black pepper and tobacco from barrique ageing. The palate is powerful yet balanced, with silky tannins, integrated acidity and a long, enveloping finish. It suits rich dishes such as roast meat, braised meat, game and aged cheeses, and also rewards quiet contemplation.
