Valtellina Superiore DOC Giuen Nino Negri

A Valtellina Superiore DOC from Nino Negri, made from Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca, grown on the terraces of Valtellina. Deep garnet red with orange reflections, it has a complex nose of ripe red fruit, faded rose, spice, leather and tobacco from wood ageing. On the palate it shows notable structure, finely woven tannins and balanced acidity, with mineral and light balsamic notes on a long finish. It pairs with roast red meats, game and aged cheeses.
