Valtellina Superiore DOCG Grumello - Vigna Sassorosso - Nino Negri

A red wine from Nino Negri in Valtellina, made from Nebbiolo, known locally as Chiavennasca, from the Grumello subzone and the Vigna Sassorosso parcel. It has a deep garnet-red colour. The nose shows ripe red berry fruit, floral hints, spice and a light balsamic note. On the palate it is elegant yet powerful, with silky, well-integrated tannins and fresh acidity, leading to a long, harmonious finish with fruit and spice. It suits red meat, game, aged cheeses and complex dishes, and can be enjoyed as a meditation wine.
