Valtellina Superiore DOCG - Mazer - Nino Negri

Valtellina Superiore DOCG Mazer is a red wine from Nino Negri, made from Nebbiolo, locally called Chiavennasca, selected from the best sites of Valtellina Superiore. It has a deep garnet colour. The nose ranges from ripe red cherry and plum to delicate floral notes, spice, leather and a light toast from ageing in wooden casks. On the palate it is structured and complex, with soft, well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity, evolving into a long, persistent finish with spicy notes. It suits rich meat dishes, game, aged cheeses and complex preparations, and also works as a meditation wine.
